Microsoft oficiálne oznámil svoju predplatnú službu Xbox Game Pass pre PC. Pravda, v minulosti bola časť hier dostupná cez Game Pass pre obe platformy vďaka podpore Xbox Play Anywhere, faktom však zostáva, že sa jednalo len o menšinu a drvivá väčšina hier bola určená výhradne pre Xbox One.
Užívatelia na PC však teraz dostanú v rámci svojej služby rovnako hodnotný zážitok, kde im mesačné predplatné ponúkne prístup k desiatkam hier (pri launchi ich má byť 100+) od Xbox Game Studios alebo od partnerov tretích strán vrátane Square Enix, Deep Silver alebo Paradox Interactive. Hry z ponuky Game Passu bude možné stiahnuť cez Windows Store alebo cez novú dedikovanú Xbox aplikáciu.
Spoločnosť avizuje, že v čase plného vydania bude služba stáť $9,99 mesačne, teda cenu, za ktorú je služba dostupná aj pre konzolu Xbox. Keďže však služba ešte nie je v plnej prevádzke, ale len v Beta verzii, aktuálne ju Microsoft ponúka za 3,99€ alebo 119Kč mesačne. Služba bude tiež súčasťou členstva Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, ktoré za 12,99€ mesačne zahŕňa prístup k obom verziám Game Passu a k zlatému členstvu Xbox Live.
